The Zambezi River from ZRP Mess, Chirundu

Description

An elevated view of the Zambezi River as seen from the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Mess in Chirundu. This photograph captures the river’s expansive, braided channels and seasonal sandbanks from the high ridge overlooking the border town. The hazy distance shows the transition from the rugged Chirundu hills toward the floodplains of the lower Zambezi, a region renowned for its high concentration of wildlife and the start of many canoe safaris heading toward Mana Pools.
